Tiny but capable

Refurbished mini PCs

Business mini PCs (Lenovo calls them "Tiny", Dell "Micro") pack a full desktop processor into a box the size of a hardback book. They can mount behind a monitor, run quietly and use little power, which makes them ideal for home offices, reception desks, classrooms and home servers.

Good to know about mini PCs

  • "T" processors (like the i5-8500T or i5-9500T) are low-power versions of desktop chips: a little slower, much cooler and quieter.
  • External power brick. Mini PCs use a laptop-style charger. Check one is included.
  • Limited expansion. Usually one or two memory slots and one or two drives, with no room for a graphics card.
  • VESA mount. Most can bolt to the back of a monitor with an optional bracket.

Questions about refurbished mini pcs

Are mini PCs powerful enough for office work?

Yes. A business mini PC with an 8th generation or newer Core i5 handles office apps, browsing, video calls and light photo editing comfortably. They're not built for gaming or heavy video work.
